Magdalena
Richter • Violin
(Weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6)
Magdalena Suchecka Richter was born in Poland to a family
of musicians. She started to play violin at the age
of 5 and concertized as a solo and chamber musician
since the age of 13. Her main teachers included Stefan
Herman, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Roman Totenberg and Dorothy
Delay. She is a prizewinner of national and international
competitions, in Paris and NYC among others. She presented
numerous recitals and performed with many orchestras
in Europe and US.

She currently resides in Boston and teaches
violin at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School
and Rivers School Conservatory and serves as a chairman
of string department in both. In addition, she teaches String
Pedagogy at NEC College and remains on faculty at The Boston
Conservatory. She also serves as a Director of the Rivers
School Chamber Orchestra.
