Joseph
Silverstein • Violin

Joseph Silverstein is a world renowned violinist and
conductor. He was the concert master of the Boston Symphony
Orchestra for 22 years. He was appointed assistant conductor
of the BSO in 1971. He was music director of the Utah
Symphony for fifteen years. A member of the Chamber
Music Society of Lincoln Center, Mr. Silverstein performs
frequently in New York and has appeared as a soloist
and conductor with more than one hundred orchestras
in the United States, Japan, Israel, and throughout
Europe.

He has served on the faculties of Yale and
Boston universities, New England Conservatory, Tanglewood
Music Center, and Sarasota Festival. He is a faculty member
of the Curtis Institute of Music
