MEET THE FACULTY & GUEST ARTISTS

Zoran Jakovcic  Violin & Viola
(Weeks 3, 4 & 5)


Mr. Jakovcic graduated from the Juilliard School as a student of Dorothy Delay and served as teaching assistant to Robert Mann of the Juilliard Quartet. He performed nationally and internationally as a soloist and as a member of the Essex and Maia Quartets with residencies at Juilliard, Yale, Rutgers, Universityof Iowa, Interlochen, Meadowmount, Banff and Aspen. Mr. Jakovcic taught violin and viola master classes in France, Italy, Austria, Croatia, China, Koreaand Japan, and served as artist faculty at the Great Wall Music Academy in China, Up-Beat Festival in Japan and Friends of Music Festival in Korea.

An accomplished teacher and administrator, he founded the Arcady International Music Camp and the Thurnauer Chamber Music Camp and served on the faculties of the Mannes College Preparatory Division, Interlochen Center for the Arts and the University of Iowa.

Mr. Jakovcic is currently the Viola Professor and Director of the Preparatory Division at Columbus State University’s Schwob School of Music.
